For 11 years, the firm fabricated machine and car parts for local manufacturers. In 1953, Gray left the firm, leaving Cone as sole owner. Cone decided to manufacture his own line of products, but had trouble coming up with ideas. Enter David Saint, an engineer, tinkerer, and stained glass artisan who worked for Graco. Saint, himself a father of nine, was intrigued when an associate told him how his wife would soothe their tired and cranky baby while swinging in a backyard glider swing. Acting on this inspiration, he went to the drawing board and 18 months of hard work later, the world's first wind-up infant swing, the Graco Swyngomatic, was born. Graco sold millions of Swyngomatics in the coming years, becoming one of the world's leading manufacturers of juvenile products in the process. Today, Graco is a Newell Rubbermaid company, with 1500 associates worldwide. While a half-century has brought many changes to Graco, their dedication and commitment to designing and manufacturing top-quality products remains, and continues on. my kids love this booster Jul 18, 2008 This product is great. Great headrest and reclines when the kids are tired. Highly recommend it- Purchased a second set for the other car.

Easy, pretty, but NOT comfortable! Jul 09, 2008 We've had this seat for 6 months, and I'm now shopping for a new booster seat that is more comfortable for my daughter. She's 4 yrs/33 lbs. and fits nicely in this seat, but it's only comfortable for short drives. We go on long (5hr.+) car trips, and there is almost NO padding in this seat! She starts complaining after 1/2 hour of sitting that her rump hurts and her legs are falling alseep. My son has an older booster seat that has a wider seat and A LOT more padding built in and he rarely complains. My daughter doesn't complain when she sits in his seat either. I just don't think it's comfortable for her.
PROS: Pink, cute design, looks good, light weight, easy to move, 2 good cup holders
CONS: Not enough padding, seat falls apart every time I pick it up to move it (back of seat easily falls off, which is irritating when you're in a hurry).
Don't buy this seat if you'll be doing any long car trips!
Comfortable seat Jul 03, 2008 I brought this seat for my 4 year old and he thoroughly likes it. It is perfectly designed for it's purpose.
TurboBooster Jun 26, 2008 Excellent booster! My daughter loves it. It is very comfortable and easily transports from car to car. Hidden cup holders are also great.
too upright Jun 21, 2008 Love the seat, but the back is too upright and my 3 yr old's head is always falling forward when he sleeps. The seat back reclines, but only if the vehicle seat reclines too (which the middle row seats of our suburban do not). I've tried propping a couple books behind it to help with reclining, but can't get enough of an angle to resolve the head slumping ... plus I'm sure it's not as safe. Anyway, now I'm trying to find a travel pillow to buy to address this issue!
