Everything I had hoped for and more. This product really does what it says. No problems with sounds or static at all. Easy to travel with and light weight. I love it!!!
Sound Sleep Machine May 17, 2007
My husband has slept with a noisy CPAP machine since 1992. When it broke, and couldn't be fixed, we had to buy a new one. It's quiet! That might sound like a good thing, but I was used to the "white noise." I bought this machine, and it works wonderfully. There are a lot of different sounds, but I have picked out the one that sounds the most like white noise to me. The volume of the sound can easily be raised or lowered - it's great! I would buy this again. P.S. It has a timer on it that I don't care for, so if you don't want to time your sounds, be sure you don't push the button all the way up to the timer.

I finally bought this after searching for something cheaper. My almost 2 year old has had my TIMEX sound/cd alarm clock since she was born and i decided it was time to get something just for her.
this has a variety of sounds and works great to drown out noise after she goes to sleep.
the only thing that i don't like about it is that after you turn it off and then turn it on again you have to click the sound you want. it doesn't stay on wind noise even though that is the one i always use. not a hug deal, just one more step. my husband didn't notice and surprisingly one night she slept through the default one which i think is a stream/river type sound.
anyway, this is a great find and you can't beat the price!

The DEX Sound Sleeper would probably be perfect for a baby or young child. Sound quality is a little iffy for an adult. I wanted some white noise to lull me to sleep. The ocean one does a good job, but the sound is a little tinny.

I really like this product, my only complaint is I wish it was louder. Other then that I use it on my 12 week old son, who LOVES the sound of white noise. This machine doesn't actually play "white noise" but he uses it on the "wind" setting. He sleeps better then ever! For 20 bucks its the best around! If you have the money though, use this White Noise Machine Sleep Mate Sound Screen Dual Speed Sound Conditioner Marpac 980-A Latest Modelits better!!
